The 2016 Ride For Mike will be in honor of my dad, Windell Pait. In June of 2016 he was attending a wedding in Germany. At the reception dinner, he suffered a massive stroke. Thanks to quick action by his family and the German doctors, he was able to return home less than a month later. He is now rehabilitating at his home in North Carolina.
I am so thankful for the role he has played in my life. As I considered how I wanted to remember my friend Mike this year, I could not think of a better way than to show my love for my dad by riding from my current home in Greenville, South Carolina to my boyhood home in Bladenboro, North Carolina. It is my desire that he will be encouraged by this endeavor in his honor.
Jonathan Pait started the I Do It For Foundation in memory of his friend Mike McCaskill. Each year he rides an event to draw attention to the foundation and the person behind it. He has raised money for various causes and individuals. This year, the funds raised will go to the I Do It For Foundation.
The funds are needed to 1) cover licensing and bank fees, 2) promotional materials, and 3) to enhance IDoItFor.org to make it easier for users and to make the I Do It For projects more prominent. Now that the foundation is officially tax exempt, the opportunities to grow are greater than ever!
This also means that your donations will be tax exempt. Join Jonathan as he shows honor to his father and remembers Mike on a 240 mile bicycle ride from Greenville, SC to Bladenboro, NC. Learn more about the ride and follow along at LowCadence.com.
You can do it for Windell too by donating here. Be assured that 100% of your donation goes to the inspiration's need. The I Do It For Foundation pays for all administrative costs.
