For most of the last 30 years, Tom Craig has been ministering to people. For many years as a youth pastor in Simpsonville, SC and now as a pastor in Oak Ridge, TN, Tom has always been focused on the people God has put him in contact with. He recently summed it up well when he said “It’s not about the machinery of the ministry, or the programs, or the size of the church… it’s about the individual lives impacted for the cause of Christ.” On June 10, 2014, Tom was informed that he had pancreatic cancer and that his body was “full of cancer”. He has been given 6-12 months to live. While this has been devastating news to Tom, his family, and all who know him, Tom has made it a priority to make the most of his remaining time and is actively serving and ministering to others. Our goal is to raise at least $25,000 to help the Craig family with their medical expenses as well as a small means of saying thank you for all of the years of sacrifice and ministry shared with us.
Normally there is a picture of a single person, or two people here that are dedicated to the person targeted by the fund raising campaign. This effort is different in that there are many, many people who have been affected by the Craig’s ministry over the years and many have come together to support this effort. On September 6, 2014, we will be hosting a ride and cookout in honor of Tom and Kim. The ride is open to anyone who wants to show their support of, and help raise funds for the Craig family. We currently have cyclists from at least three states and are hoping to have a strong group join us. If you are interested in riding, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can do it for Tom too by donating here. Be assured that 100% of your donation goes to the inspiration's need. The I Do It For Foundation pays for all administrative costs.
